The course will consist of theory, practical, portfolio, tutorial and additional learning to enhance your qualification. Throughout the programme you will be assessed regularly against the standards set down by the examining body. These assessments will be pre-arranged and will be as unobtrusive as possible. Once you have completed the practical assessment of a unit to the set standard you will sit your written assessment paper. You will be given assignments throughout the programme with lots of help and guidance. Each level covers an area of competence at a level which places it on a national framework. The framework makes qualifications easier to understand and also shows how people can progress through the system. The qualification is based on standards that spell out the broad skills required in employment.
