While on the course you will learn the skills you need to live with increased independence, such as:
• day-to-day household management
• budgeting your money
• healthy eating
• personal safety
• using public transport
• looking after yourself.
You will also develop the skills and knowledge that will help you to identify suitable work opportunities for the future, including things like timekeeping, following instructions, working independently, team working and problem solving. You will be assessed through a variety of ways (pictorial, photographic and video), which will be presented via a portfolio of evidence. As a student you will have regular tutorials and receive regular feedback to discuss your progress.
