This apprenticeship is ideal for those who have an interest in the role of a digital marketer is to define, design, build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, customer engagement and customer retention. A digital marketer will typically be working as part of a team, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall marketing plan or campaign. The marketer will work to marketing briefs and instructions. They will normally report to a digital marketing manager, a marketing manager or an IT Manager.
Apprentices must have access to real work which is valid and productive, providing opportunities to develop, practice and evidence knowledge and skills that have been learned. The employer is expected to provide and support the opportunity for off-the-job training for a minimum 20% of the apprentices working time. Defined as technical and knowledge development, this type of learning is undertaken outside of the normal day-to-day working environment. It can include activities such as; online learning, mentoring, role play, attendance to competitions and events, or revision and assignments set as homework.
Apprentices will attend the live classes via our virtual learning platform, GoTo training. This can be done from the comfort of their own home, the office or from our apprenticeship computer suite. Formal training usually takes place every one to two months in a five-day block.
It is a government requirement for you to spend 20% of your apprenticeship working towards yours off-the-job learning. Off-the-job learning can consist of college attendance, homework/coursework, project related work, employer training, mentoring and coaching, plus a number of other tasks.
