Heading to the States this summer are two of our first year BTEC Level 3 Travel and Tourism students.

Mia Crockford and Rose Hall have been accepted onto 12-month internships by BSG Hospitality.

They first heard about the scheme through a virtual talk from the company arranged through the College

Now Mia is going to be working in Florida for a year, while Rose is heading to New York.

“I am so happy and grateful to have been offered this opportunity. I am so excited to go out and gain more experience in not only the travel and hospitality industry but also in life; I cannot wait to see where this experience takes me!” said Mia.

Said Rose: “I can’t express how excited I am to go to New York and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity. I am very eager and motivated to expand my hospitality and customer service skills as I have always dreamt of working for a country club. I cannot wait to start this adventure and see what other opportunities this opens up for me in the future!”

Lecturer Amy Benham said they applied a few months ago."We are so proud of them as it was a really challenging interview process and for them both to have been accepted is amazing,” she added.
