The students acted as stewards at this year’s Shaping Portsmouth Conference, which was held at Portsmouth Guildhall.

Team Leader for Travel, Business & Culinary Arts Vanessa Cooter said: “It was the biggest conference in the largest venue in Portsmouth and the Level 3 students adapted very well to every situation and worked really hard to make the delegates feel very comfortable. They acted professionally throughout the entire event and there was great feedback from the delegates. Well done!”

Vanessa, with the help of her dedicated students, has supported the event for many years and was delighted to be nominated for the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Shaping Portsmouth by an Individual’ award at the event.

Stef Nienaltowski, Director of Shaping Portsmouth, said: “The networking session was very noisy, passionate and productive. The theme was Shaping Portsmouth Together and I think we were very successful in achieving that judging by the reaction and response of the attendees. Thank you to all of those who supported and attended and let’s make 2019 a year to remember!”
