Highbury College's fast-track journalism course has been lauded by judges at an industrial awards ceremony.

During the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) Awards for Excellence 2018, the College was named as having the Best Performing Further Education Fast-Track Course.

Paul Foster, journalism tutor, accepted the award on behalf of Highbury, saying: "Highbury College’s fast-track course has enjoyed an enviable reputation for training top class journalists over many years. We’re passionate about the part we play in teaching the reporters of the future and are proud to have received the NCTJ’s top performing fast-track course award."

Highbury College has been producing some of the best journalists in the industry for more than 50 years through its accredited NCTJ courses, which are recognised by editors across the UK and beyond.

Some of the College's alumni include BBC journalist John Pienaar, Sky News reporter Mark Austin, BBC Spotlight presenter Janine Jansen and documentarist Simon Reeve.
