A team of 12 aspiring chefs from Highbury College served tasty three-course meals to 75 guests at the popular Hermitage Restaurants as part of The Brookfield Hotel College Takeover, which was held during British Food Fortnight.
Third-year professional cookery student Edward Searles was among those serving up a treat.
He said: "This is my second year taking part and I've gained experience in both front of house and in the kitchen. This year, I was responsible for preparing the starters and it was brilliant, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Experiences like this help me build up my confidence, and I also get to see what life is really like in a professional kitchen."
Culinary arts tutor Matt Sussex added: "Our students found the takeover event challenging but they really enjoyed themselves. We're really grateful for businesses like The Brookfield Hotel and Hermitage Restaurant for providing our students with some real-world professional catering experience."
