Highbury students did the College proud after taking part in a Hampshire-wide badminton competition.

Md Soyef Uddin, Thien Nguyencame and Manh Van Le, as well as 11 other students from across the county, competed against one another at this year's Basingstoke Sports Trust Tournament.

Md Soyef Uddin was announced the plate winner at the annual event, which was held at Queen Mary's College on Wednesday 28th March.

Thien Nguyencame came in third and Manh Van Le finished in sixth place in the cup competition.

The College's Sports Centre Manager Dean Brown, who organises the students' sporting activities, said: "Competitions like these are fantastic opportunities for our students to play against other talented students from within the local area. Our students played really well and we're very proud of their achievements."
