Highbury College is once again delighted to be the headline sponsor of TeenTech Solent on 18th May 2017, and will be pioneering opportunities to get ever more youngsters (girls and boys alike) seeing themselves working in the STEM sector.

Highbury has unrivalled links with local industry, working closely with most of the major employers who will once again be taking part in TeenTech Solent at the Guildhall in Portsmouth. The event will showcase careers in a variety of industries: there will be opportunities to try your hand at experiments, to handle leading edge technology and, most importantly to spend time with the Engineers, Technologists and Scientists influencing today’s lives. Be prepared to hear directly from engineers at BAE and Portsmouth Water or from the Ben Ainslie racing team!

Principal & Chief Executive, Stella Mbubaegbu CBE, said: “We need to inspire a new generation to become engineers and scientists of the future. Highbury College is delighted to be sponsoring TeenTech Solent for the third year running, as it gives our young people a unique opportunity to have hands-on experience of leading edge technology and to meet engineers, technicians and scientists currently working in the industry. Young people will be able to see that studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects at College can lead to rich and varied career pathways which are open to everyone”.
