The Automotive team at Highbury have taken delivery of the latest tyre and wheel-balancing machines from top German manufacturers Hofmman. The kit, worth around £5,000, means that students can train on ultra-modern tyres for cars and motorbikes.

“It’s part of our continuous investment, which enables us to keep up to date with what’s going on in the trade as the new registrations come in,” said Head of Automotive Martin Porter. “The new kit will enable us to train on ultra-modern, low-profile tyres as well as the latest motorbike tyres and it will benefit all our students from Entry Level right up to Level 4.”

Martin and his team have strong links with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI). In recent weeks, they’ve been along to a technical seminar organised at Goodwood and a Representative Member Assembly at Lynwood aimed at maximising business and personal development. Martin even features on an IMI video on YouTube. See him at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yKVwgcrEGk
