New health and science T Levels starting in September 2022.

T Levels combine classroom theory, practical learning and a three-month industry placement with an employer to make sure students have real experience of the workplace. The two-year T Levels courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepare you for work. They provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door to highly skilled employment, an apprenticeship or higher-level study.

T Levels are nationally-recognised qualifications for 16 to 18-year-olds that lasts for two years and are equal to three A Levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take a T Level with another qualification e.g. an A Level or BTEC?

No, this is not possible - the T Level is equivalent to three A Levels, plus the extended placement requirement makes this a complete qualification.

What English and maths GCSE grades do I need to take a T Level?

You will need to have achieved grade 4 or above at GCSE English Language, science and maths.

Will the College help me to find the extended industry placement?

Yes, we have a dedicated team who will help to arrange this placement. There is also additional support for travel and resources costs.

Exactly how long are the industry placements?

They are 45 days across the two-year qualification or 315-420 hours.
