At Highbury we promote lifelong learning and offer an extensive range of adult education courses designed for those over 19 years of age.

Our courses include full-time vocational diplomas, part-time professional qualifications, employability-focused short courses, plus a range of online and in-person leisure courses.

Many of our courses are free or depending on your circumstances discounted. You could apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help fund your course, which is similar to a university Student Loan and only repayable once you are earning over a certain amount. For more information about Advanced Learner Loans, click here.

Paying for your course may seem daunting but our friendly course advice team are on hand to support you through the application process. Contact the team using the online chat below, emailing or by calling 023 9238 3131.

Adult Community Courses

Highbury's community courses and training are fun, flexible and the majority are FREE. Our community courses are available for groups or individuals, taking place at more than 60 community venues in Portsmouth and the surrounding area, as well as at Highbury College Centres.

An apprenticeship is a job with training which allows you to earn while you learn, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Apprentices can be any age so it's never too late to change direction and retrain in a fresh industry. If you're interested in becoming an Apprentice, take a look at our current vacancies and apply online.

If you can't find what you're looking for, don't worry you can register with Highbury Employment Services, who will let you know as soon as a suitable apprenticeship becomes available.
