Students who need accommodation have the choice of Highbury’s onsite accommodation, Host Family, University of Portsmouth Halls of Residence or Self-catering accommodation. The International Office can discuss your options and help arrange what is the best for you.

Onsite accommodation

Onsite accommodation Highbury’s onsite accommodation is situated within The Tower, the College’s tallest building. All 75 bedrooms enjoy views of Portsmouth and its coastline.

Each floor consists of 15 good-sized bedrooms, two kitchens, dining area, lounge and television. Each bedroom includes a bed, desk, wardrobe, en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet and wash basin), telephone, television and computer points and free Internet access. There is also a laundry room, with washers and dryers, and a 24-hour security is in operation on the College site.

Onsite accommodation fee: £120 per week (£4,400 per academic year if students pay in full prior to arrival)

Homestay accommodation

One of the best ways to help improve your English and also give you a better understanding of British life and culture is to stay with one of our carefully selected homestay families. Homestay accommodation is on a full-board basis (breakfast, light lunch and dinner included). Students normally arrive at their homestay accommodation on Sunday and leave on Saturday.

Homestay accommodation fee: As a guide you should expect to pay from £160 per week for Full Board.

University of Portsmouth Halls of Residence

From May to the end of August, we may be able to accommodate you in the Hall of Residence at the University of Portsmouth. The Halls are located within a 5 minute walk of our city centre campus. All rooms have a en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet and wash basin) with free Wi-Fi access. A bedding and crockery set is also provided for you to use on arrival.

Self-catering accommodation

It is a Victoria-style house within walking distance to our city centre campus. You will be more independent and sociable living in the house with other students. The house is fully furnished with free Wi-Fi access.
