At Highbury you'll learn cutting edge, up-to-the-minute techniques with experienced staff in our modern, fully-equipped training salons as you move towards your dream of becoming a qualified professional hair stylist, technician or beauty therapist.
Programmes range from advanced to beginner, so you can fully embrace the challenges and rewards offered by this expanding and exciting industry. Our qualifications are awarded by VTCT, a specialist awarding body for the hairdressing and beauty sector. They are widely recognised by employers in the UK and abroad.
We’ll provide you with hands-on experience and the theory you need to develop your expertise in the latest beauty and hairdressing techniques. All our programmes also teach you presentation skills, business skills, customer service and health & safety, as well as improving your Maths, English and IT skills, and learning employability and enterprise skills.
You’ll be taught by experienced staff in our modern, fully equipped training salons at Highbury Campus or Highbury Arundel Centre. Learning is through a mixture of practical, theory and online tutoring. Our salons are open to the public, giving you valuable hands-on experience while training. Guest speakers also regularly visit to give demonstrations of new treatments and techniques.
You can even add to your skills by completing short courses in specialist areas such as spray tanning, hair extensions and gel polish. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit exhibitions, training academies and product suppliers in the UK and overseas. In addition, you’re encouraged to enter competitions such as WorldSkills and our annual Hair & Beauty show, showcasing your work at regional and national levels.
With us your future’s looking good.
