Flying Start Logo

Technology is developing at a pace never before seen, this includes technologies in our homes, at work, on the move and everywhere in between. It surrounds us all.

What forms the basic requirements for the technologies and their integration into our lives? The necessity for electricity to feed the hunger of the technologies.

This is increasing the demand for qualified electricians who need to be on the pulse with current and upcoming trends in order to supply and maintain electrical systems. Recent developments include automated smart homes with voice and phone activation to allow the home to work for you, and we have an increasing demand for electrical vehicle charging points as we seek a greener future free of fossil fuels.

Our courses (Level 2 and 3) offer a range of routes available to best suit your needs, be it through full-time study followed by onsite practical experience or through employment with an apprenticeship. All routes give the flexibility enabling you to become a qualified electrician helping to create the future ideals. It’s a career and skill for life giving new challenges, different environments and great opportunities.

Training will take place at Highbury College’s Northarbour campus, where you will have access to classrooms and a workshop with all the latest tools and materials as we seek to stay ahead of the trends. The campus has pool tables, computer suites and a cafe. You will also have access to our site in Cosham where you can visit an extensive library, study centre and gym, you might also want to drop in to our very own Eden Hair & Beauty Salons.
