In our modern facilities at Highbury Campus, our Northarbour Centre and Boathouse No 4 at the Historic Dockyard, you’ll work on the latest training systems in our fully-equipped workshops.

Prospects for trained engineers are good, especially in and around Portsmouth where there are many large employers, including Airbus, Rolls Royce, West Group and Veolia. Thanks to the area’s maritime history there are also lots of opportunities in marine engineering too with companies like Northshore, Burgess Marine and BAE Systems.

In 2016, for the first time, we’ll also be offering Level 3 OCR Cambridge Technicals in Engineering. The exciting development (which attracts UCAS points) is especially for learners aged 16-19 wanting to take a more academic approach to Engineering to gain a thorough knowledge, understanding and competencies for the engineering sector. And because they’re academically-based, they make it easy to combine with other studies, and to progress to further or higher education, work or apprenticeships.
