Students will be taught by fully qualified, experienced tutors in the classroom, using a range of resources and methods, including text books, demonstrations, practical tasks, projects and e-learning. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their own education and develop skills of independent and autonomous learning and self-discovery, with the support and guidance of the tutors. Students will have access to the college’s own award-winning virtual learning environment, Canvas, and will be expected to complete independent study outside the class room for at least 15 hours a week.
Assessment takes many forms enabling learners to develop a broad range of transferable skills including report writing, presentations, project completion and case studies. There are two externally set exams and a range of assignment tasks set across the year.
