Our courses cover areas such as civil engineering, surveying, project management, computer aided design, and sustainable construction techniques. You’ll study various practical and theoretical construction elements before specialising.

In our modern facilities, you’ll work on the latest training systems in our fully-equipped workshops and CAD suites. All of our tutors have worked in industry and bring with them skills and expertise from a variety of disciplines.

We embed maths and English in all our lessons and depending on your current levels, you will have the chance to either improve your GCSE grades or gain valuable Functional Skills qualifications if required.

The construction industry is constantly changing, with new building techniques being introduced all the time. The industry needs well qualified and skilled people at all levels in a wide variety of disciplines including bricklaying, carpentry, decorating, plastering, plumbing, electrical and tiling. Progression through higher education could lead to professional qualifications including architect, building, land or quantity surveyor, civil or structural engineer and project/site manager. Students who complete a Level 1 and a Level 2 could progress to an apprenticeship. Senior quantity surveyors can earn upwards of £45,000 and construction managers around £39,000 while project managers could pick up £19.50 an hour, foremen £14 an hour, and carpenters & bricklayers £11 an hour.
