If you would like to become an apprentice but don't have an employer, we are here to help.
An apprenticeship is a real job with training which allows you to earn while you learn, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Apprenticeships take between one and five years to complete and are available in 1,500 occupations across 170 industries varying from construction to engineering through to IT and the creative and digital sectors.
All of our Apprenticeship vacancies are listed below. If you can't find what you're looking for, don't worry you can register with Highbury Employment Services, who will let you know as soon as a suitable apprenticeship becomes available.
"My apprenticeship in accounting has helped me understand where and how particular figures are calculated and how they relate to the overall business accounts. The apprenticeship is great because both myself and the business benefit from the knowledge and confidence I am gaining."
"I started at Highbury on a Level 1 course nearly 4 years ago. Highbury has supported me all the way through and helped me find the apprenticeship I am doing now. I love working day-in, day-out with cars and I am getting so much more practical experience – it’s great."
"Being able to put what I've learnt at college into practice at work on a daily basis has actually been a far better experience than university. It's been intense and required a lot of self discipline. I spent a lot of lunch breaks doing mock shorthand exams and memorising media law, but it was worth it!"
"I enjoyed my apprenticeship, they're a good way of getting experience at a young age. You’re also treated more like an adult in the workplace. Highbury helped me with things like time management. My apprenticeship has kept me out of the classroom, which suits me more."
We've teamed up with Portsmouth College to offer a wider range of apprenticeships. Apprenticeships offered at Portsmouth College include leadership, digital marketing, accounting and more.Find out more
