Our online and classroom based Access courses are specifically designed for students aged 19+ who are preparing for higher education and university.

Students from Highbury’s one-year Access to Higher Education courses have progressed to universities both locally and throughout the country. They include Oxford and Cambridge, Brighton, Edinburgh, London SOAS, Manchester, Southampton, Sussex, Warwick, Winchester and York as well as the nearby Universities of Chichester and Portsmouth.

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a Level 3 qualification and offers a range of pathways that could lead to a degree of your choosing such as Pharmacy, Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Nutrition, Social Work and Health related degrees.

You are entitled to full fee remission if the following applies to you:

  • Aged 19 – 23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification.

Applicants who take out the advanced learning loan need pay nothing upfront. The loan is paid off once you complete your  course and are earning more than £25,000 per year. More information about Student Finance can be found here.
