Performing Arts

Our Edexcel BTEC HNC in Performing Arts is designed for students who intend to follow a career path in acting.

This is a challenging course equivalent to the first year of a degree. As well as developing your performance skills, you will also develop the academic and research skills required to progress to degree level study at university.

You will study a range of topics including: alternative approaches to acting, applied contemporary performance, small scale touring companies and outreach drama.

You will make full use of our outstanding facilities, which include a 160-seat performance area, dance studio, and a high-definition TV studio with green screen and autocue.

As part of your course you will have the opportunity to gain experience through work placements in local theatres and on school tours.

You could also visit New York's Broadway and London's West End as well as many theatres in our local area.
