As a vocational further education college Highbury is ideally placed to access the latest funding and training subsidies, which are not always available to other training providers. This means we can make your training budget stretch further.
Apprenticeship funding is available through Highbury College. The size of the contribution varies depending on your sector and the age of the candidate. If the Apprentice is aged 16-18 years old, you will receive 100 per cent of the cost of the training; if they are 19-24 years old, you will receive up to 50 per cent; if they are 25 years old or over you may only get a contribution depending on the sector and area in which you operate.
Up to £1,000 in funding is available to help you pay for the leadership and management training you need to grow your business. This money can be put towards one or a combination of training solutions, including many of Highbury’s Services for Business short courses and training.
The offer is available to companies with 2 to 250 staff that can demonstrate they have the potential for high or fast growth. Visit the Skills South East website or download this flyer (270Kb, pdf) for further details.
A Professional and Career Development Loan could help you pay for learning that enhances your job skills or career prospects. A Professional and Career Development Loan is a bank loan. You make an agreement with a participating bank to borrow an amount between £300 and £10,000. Then once you've stopped studying, you pay it back in the normal way.
