A fashion show named Desire

Up and coming designers will be walking the walk at Highbury College Portsmouth's end of year fashion show, Desire.

Showcasing the crème of this year's fashion students' collections, the event at the Pyramids Centre in Southsea on June 17 will be an opportunity for them to see their work celebrated on the catwalk.

With creations ranging from traditional costume design to modern trend-driven pieces, the show is sure to be filled with bold fashion statements and some fresh inspiration.

Penny Clifford, programme leader for fashion at Highbury, said: "This year's show is going to be very exciting. After last year's sell-out success, we've decided to bring the event to its biggest venue yet so it should be a really fantastic experience for the students and the audience.

"It has been a busy year for these groups, with outdoor fashion shows and individual projects helping them to put their work in the spotlight. We're hoping the show will be a grand finale to finish it off in style."

Students will be moving onto universities all over the country including Portsmouth, Cardiff, Northbrook and Rochester.

The event will start at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 and can be purchased by arriving early on the door or from Highbury College by calling (023) 9238 3131. More information about the show and fashion design courses at the College will also be available on this number.
