Highbury College provides fully-funded (free) training under the Government’s Train to Gain initiative, so you can train your staff at no additional cost to your business.

Who is it for?

Train to Gain enables employees and volunteers aged 19+ who have been EU residents for over three years to gain a full Level 2 qualification and improve their basic literacy and numeracy. Supervisory staff may be eligible to study a Level 3 qualification which may be part-funded.

This fully-funding training is available to all employees - even those with higher qualifications. The only requirement is that the qualification is relevant to their specific job role.

Most NVQ qualifications are available for the Train to Gain funding. Highbury College has places available in areas including:

  • Business Administration, Customer Service, IT
  • Care, Early Years, Dental Nursing
  • Construction, Engineering (CNC, BIT, CAD)
  • Food Preparation & Cooking
  • Teaching Support
  • Vehicle Maintenance

Train to Gain funding is available to businesses, the voluntary sector, self-employed workers and sole traders. If your business has fewer than 50 employees you can also apply for a wage subsidy.

OSAT

On Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) is available for construction and plant training, enabling employees to gain a Level 2 NVQ without attending College.
