Environmental training courses at Highbury
 National Skills Academy Environmental Technologies

The environmental technologies sector is growing fast. The College has developed Highbury Planet to research, implement and promote the use of sustainable, low-carbon technologies and skills.

Highbury has been selected by the National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies to deliver quality training for new and existing low-carbon technologies within the building services engineering industry. All our training is available for individuals or groups at competitive rates.

Our courses provide accreditation in four major green technologies:

An additional Renewable Energy Awareness unit must be completed to gain full accreditation in any one of the technologies.

Green Deal

The Government’s new Green Deal makes environment technologies even more viable for homeowners and businesses. Thanks to the Green Deal you can make energy-saving improvements to your home or business without having to pay all the costs up front. This is good news for installers, assessors, trainers and tradespeople who now have access to a growing market.

In order to qualify for the Green Deal, home owners and businesses need to be assessed. Highbury is now offering Green Deal Assessor (GDA) training, which is essential for anyone who wants to become a Green Deal Assessor.
