Highbury is a good environment. The students are very friendly and I am relaxed everywhere so it's a very happy atmosphere. It's a very helpful college. The teachers are very helpful and they have good teaching methods. When I finish the course I am going to apply for university, and I think that Highbury has prepared me well for this.

There are lots of interesting things here, like the big sports hall. I go there to play basketball on Fridays. I've also got some good classmates, and I have made friends from lots of different countries. I think the teachers are very good. My English has improved a lot in only two months.

Every month the class goes out on a visit to see some new places, which I like a lot as we see more places and learn new things. When I came here I couldn't speak English, now I can and I'm trying to get better. I would like to do a business and law course and I'm sure one day I will be a success.

There are many good teachers here and I've made lots of friends. When I finish my course I will go back to my country and I want to become a businessman. The library is very nice and we can do a lot of sporting activities at Highbury College. I believe the College will help me a lot with my plans.

I came to Highbury because I had heard some good feedback about the College from other students; it has a really good reputation. The best thing here is the very friendly atmosphere. I like that the teachers will spend time with you after a lesson if you need it. They are very helpful. They always want you to do well and will always help you to do your best in everything.

Nigeria is very hot, so I enjoy the weather in Portsmouth, it makes a nice change from what I am used to. I booked my course late and I needed somewhere to live. I called Highbury College and they not only arranged a place in the accommodation block but sent a car to pick me up from the airport. I think the staff at Highbury College are very, very caring.

When I finish my course I would like to go to Cambridge University and Highbury College will help me with this and will help me with my application forms to get into university. The teachers are very good and they have helped me a lot. When I came to England I didn't speak any English, now it's easier to talk to someone and understand them, and in the future this can only get better.

The new building at Highbury Campus with its new technologies and materials encourages me to study. I do chemistry and the labs are set up just like a scientist would have it for their experiments so we use it a lot. I think the College is one of the most famous colleges in Portsmouth. It has a very good reputation and I like studying here.

I didn’t know what to expect when I came to the UK, but when I got here I found that everyone I met was so friendly and helpful. The course I studied very fast paced and takes a lot of work, but the teachers have been great. Extra classes and seminars were laid on if we needed extra help, and the teachers made sure we understood a subject before we moved on to the next.

I am going on to study Computer Systems Engineering at Nottingham Trent University. Applying to university in the UK can be very difficult, but the Careers Service at Highbury helped so much with my application. With their help I got offers from five universities in the UK.
