The following Apprenticeships are available:

What does the apprenticeship involve? All Apprenticeships include knowledge (theory) and competence (practical) elements that are relevant to your work. This will ensure that you gain the skills and knowledge employers need. In addition, you will complete transferable skills in literacy, numeracy and sometimes IT, study employment rights and (ERR) and develop your personal learning and thinking skills (PLTS).

You will be assessed at work or College and may attend College to study the theory, which you can then put into practice in the workplace.

As an apprentice you will have a dedicated assessor who will follow your progress and help with any issues that may arise.

Once you complete an apprenticeship you will have a nationally recognised qualification that will help you to progress to work and/or further study.

What kinds of apprenticeships are there? Apprenticeships can be taken at three levels: Intermediate (Level 2), Advanced (Level 3) and Higher (Levels 4/5). They take between one and three years to complete. You’ll choose an apprenticeship based on your intended career and any experience you may have already gained.

How much will I earn? The amount paid to employed apprentices, as with all employees, is negotiated with the employer. The current National Minimum Wage for apprentices is £2.73 per hour. However, as skills develop, many employers tend to increase wages - in fact, research has found that apprentices earn an average of £170 net pay per week.

Can you help me find an employer? While we don’t guarantee to find you an employer, we have matched apprentices to employers in the past and we may be able to help you find an employer.
